An astounding amount of time is covered: from our species' origin millions of years ago to the 15th century AD); I like the approach of covering all corners of the globe when discussing the first civilizations but that is alot of ground to cover and maybe the course should've stopped with prehistory or after the very first civilizations in Asia.
